which express delivery is easy and cheap for customs clearance)

1. Europe

Western Europe, Northern Europe, and Southern Europe are suitable for DHL, TNT, with the strongest customs clearance ability, especially when sending to the Netherlands and Belgium, where TNT has the greatest advantage. This is because TNT is the Dutch postal service.

It should be noted that some Western European countries such as France, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom are not suitable for sending postal parcels, as their websites may not be updated, leading to possible disputes where customers claim they have not received the package even though they have.

For Eastern European countries, DHL is better, including Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania.

For other European countries: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, as well as former Soviet countries such as Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, etc., should be sent via EMS and postal parcels.

Country Express Delivery Strategy

Greece, Turkey: Customs are relatively corrupt, with high taxes. Unless the customer has their own customs clearance agent, it is not recommended to use DHL, FedEx, TNT, and UPS. It is better to use EMS and postal services, which have strong customs clearance abilities.

United Kingdom: Customs duties are charged for packages valued over 18 GBP, but very few packages are checked by customs in the UK.

Ireland, France, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, etc.: EU countries that tax packages above 22 euros. Based on previous data, a small number of packages have been checked, with EMS having a high safety factor.

Italy: EU country that taxes packages above 22 euros. Due to the low tax declaration amount, packages in the EU are often checked due to low declaration.

Netherlands: EU country that taxes packages above 22 euros. Based on previous data, a small number of packages have been checked and taxed, with textiles being relatively strict. EMS has a high safety factor.

Germany: EU country that taxes packages above 22 euros. Germany is a relatively special country in the EU, with customs inspections stricter than other EU countries. EMS is often returned due to customs reasons.

Russia: DHL and FedEx packages are almost always checked, while EMS is rarely checked. Packages sent to Russia only have parcel services in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and both the sender and recipient must be companies. No abandoned packages are accepted, and if customs clearance fails at the destination, the package will be returned at the sender's expense.

Ukraine: Customs in Ukraine are difficult to deal with, and FedEx and DHL packages are difficult to clear.

Belarus: FedEx and DHL packages may have issues, but there are no issues with EMS. Belarus has weight restrictions for packages, with single tickets not exceeding 250KG and single items not exceeding 50KG. If the weight exceeds this limit, the package will be automatically returned at the sender's expense.

2. Asia

Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand are suitable for FedEx, with fast and cheap service. DHL is also fast but slightly more expensive.

Japan: Packages valued below 1000 Japanese yen are exempt from taxes, with very few packages being checked in Japan.

Singapore: Packages with a declared value above 400 Singapore dollars (320 USD) are taxed. Based on data, there are very few issues with packages sent to Singapore.

India: Indian customs are not ideal, but based on data, DHL and FedEx have good sign-off rates.

All packages shipped to Hyderabad (HYD) must include a tax number (TIN) on the invoice. If the invoice lacks tax number information, the package will be withheld and fined. To avoid unnecessary delays and costs, ensure all information is complete before shipping.

New customs clearance regulations for shipments to Mumbai, India:

(1) Requirements for invoices:

a. Invoice descriptions must be in English and include the signature of the shipper or their authorized representative. Invoices should not be declared as "Proforma Invoice" as this may cause customs delays.

b. If the items are "samples or gifts," the invoice must clearly state: "Free Trade Sample for Testing, No Foreign Exchange Involved" or "Free Trade Sample, No Foreign Exchange Involved" or "Personal Gift, No Foreign Exchange Involved." Do not use the description "Value for Customs Purpose Only" as this may cause customs delays.

c. Invoices must provide detailed descriptions of all items (including samples or gifts), including product names, quantities, and actual values.

(2) Documentation requirements for chemical drugs or medicines classified under codes 28, 29, 30, 31, 35, 38:

a. Chemical drugs or medicines in this category must be accompanied by a Chemical Material Safety Assessment Report (COA/MSDS), which must be issued by the manufacturer or an internationally recognized testing unit or monitoring agency.

b. Shippers must affix labels to each box of goods with detailed descriptions of the contents. Failure to comply may result in additional sampling and testing by local customs, leading to severe customs delays.

Note: Customs clearance in India is complex and may result in high taxes. Please ensure all information is valid before shipping to avoid delays or additional costs, which will be borne by the shipper.

Indonesia: It is best to use DHL as FedEx may have difficulty with customs clearance and impose heavy taxes. Based on customer experience, they prefer the relatively more expensive DHL.

Philippines: There is no exemption limit for imported goods, and all packages may be subject to customs duties, leading to uncertainty in taxation.

Malaysia: New regulations for wooden packaging materials require all imported goods to undergo heat treatment and be labeled or smoked with certification starting July 1, 2010. Invoices and packing lists must include relevant information about wooden packaging materials. Shippers must specify the type of packaging material on electronic or manual customs declaration forms.

Goods that do not comply with regulations will be held in the destination country by local customs authorities.

3. Americas

United States: Customs clearance for express packages in the US is relatively fast, with packages valued below 200 USD exempt from customs duties. However, due to the robust legal system in the US, goods related to personal safety and health are rigorously inspected. Based on data, EMS is the easiest for customs clearance, while DHL and FedEx are stricter with certain electronic products. It is recommended to use DHL, as FedEx, although cheaper, has more restrictions and weaker customs clearance capabilities.

Canada: There are no restrictions on product categories, but strict regulations on declared values. EMS, DHL, and FedEx may be subject to customs duties due to low declarations, with customs re-evaluating values. However, clearance is easier for low-value items.

Mexico: FedEx is cheaper with strong customs clearance capabilities. Many customers prefer using FedEx. Customs clearance is relatively easy, but if a package is inspected by customs and returned to the sender, it may take a long time, with no issues found during customs inspections.

Brazil: Considered one of the most difficult countries for customs clearance, with almost all packages, except for airmail parcels, being inspected. FedEx and DHL packages are always inspected, requiring the recipient's VAT registration number. It is best to use EMS to avoid unnecessary complications.

Chile: A South American country with some reports of customs clearance issues. Based on data, a few packages have been subject to customs duties.

Ecuador: Starting January 13, 2011, all imports to Ecuador must provide original commercial invoices. Pro-forma or photocopies of commercial invoices are not accepted. Incorrect declaration information may result in fines, with penalties for DHL and the shipper. Any delays, fines (10% CIF), 100% inspection, or possible retention may occur. Incorrect customer information may affect the airline.

Invoices must include the shipper's trademark, commercial invoice number, shipping date, complete details of the shipper and recipient (company, address, name, phone), country of origin and brand, product and destination customs code for each item, detailed product names, quantities, weights, models, and prices for trade payments (FOB prices).

Other South American countries generally have no issues with express delivery. Central American countries are also suitable, depending on customer requirements. DHL is slightly more expensive, but FedEx still has certain advantages.

4. Middle East

It is recommended to use Middle Eastern express delivery services, as they have advantages over DHL in the region. EMS and postal services can also be used, although they have slower delivery times.

Saudi Arabia: Shipments to Saudi Arabia (SA) have the following customs clearance requirements (applicable to commercial goods valued at or above 100 USD):

(1) The actual recipient or final consignee must be a registered Importer of Record (IOR);

(2) Customs documents must include a copy of the consignee's commercial registration (equivalent to a business license in China) and a letter of authorization from the consignee authorizing an agent to clear customs on their behalf;

(3) All imported goods valued over 100 USD must undergo formal customs clearance. Additional requirements for goods imported to Saudi Arabia include:

a. Companies importing goods valued over 100 USD must provide a copy of the importer's commercial registration (business license) (the importer's commercial registration number must be filled in the VAT number section of the DHL waybill - equivalent to the business license number in China),

b. For goods valued over 13250 USD to Dhahran and over 2500 USD to Jeddah and Riyadh, an authorization letter authorizing DHL to clear customs on behalf of the importer must be provided (valid for one year for DHL),

c. When all Saudi Arabians and foreign residents import goods worth more than $100 in their personal capacity, they must provide an ID number (equivalent to the Chinese ID card number). When self-picking up the goods, this ID number should be written in the VAT number section of the DHL waybill.

d. For specific goods worth more than $100, a clean inspection report (Clean report of findings/SASO) issued by an authoritative inspection company from the country of origin is required; for goods to Jeddah worth more than $13,250 and to Riyadh worth more than $2,500, a certificate of origin provided by the authoritative trade organization of the country of origin must be provided. If the relevant customs clearance documents are not provided as required, the goods will be returned, and all return costs will be borne by the sender.

Packages cannot be abandoned at the destination, they can only be transferred to Bahrain for customs clearance or abandoned, and there will be additional shipping costs from Saudi Arabia to Bahrain, usually for packages weighing over 50KG.

Number5. Africa

South Africa: Officially, South Africa requires an import certificate for textiles. FedEx and DHL are relatively more frequently checked, while EMS is rarely checked and returned.

Nigeria: DHL shipping costs are not high, but after reaching the destination, they will unreasonably charge the recipient related fees; single items exceeding 70kg or single bills exceeding 300kg will be rejected.

Other African countries, such as relatively wealthy Morocco, Egypt, Ghana, etc., can all use DHL. It is best to rely on the customer's customs clearance capabilities for other poor countries.

Number6. Oceania

Australia: Inspections for imported parcel goods are relatively lenient, with no customs duties for parcels below 1000 Australian dollars, except for some prohibited and wooden products, they clear customs well. DHL is relatively expensive and also requires "Made In China" to be marked on the box machine. Relatively speaking, FedEx is cheaper.

All items (including documents and parcels) sent to Australia must pay attention to the following:

(1) All commercial invoices must provide market value, otherwise delays or clearance refusal may occur at any time.

(2) Customs clearance must have all customs clearance documents, including complete commercial invoices, packing lists, and import permits, etc. Shipments to Australia and New Zealand do not accept recipient addresses as P.O Box. Otherwise, the shipment may be directly returned to the sender, and any related costs incurred will be borne by the sender; the recipient will bear it themselves. (If the recipient's address is a P.O BOX, there is no recipient signature for the shipment, it is just delivered to the mailbox in front of the door, which is easy to lose. When shipping, please try not to send to a PO BOX.)

Other countries in Oceania, including New Zealand, French Polynesia, and some small islands, have more DHL and FedEx flights, but DHL is faster and more expensive. UPS also has advantages.

In conclusion, postal services are universal, almost every country has one, and this is the strongest customs clearance capability. When sending to uncertain countries, you can choose postal services and EMS, or check forums to see if others have used other major express delivery services. Of course, if your customer has strong customs clearance capabilities, any express delivery service will do.
